Monday, November 22nd 2004, 9:56AM

AMP SavingsĀ andĀ InvestmentĀ Auckland-based investment specialist Anthony Sowerby has qualified to use the Chartered Financial Analyst(CFA) designation.

Sowerby is one of only 31 candidates to pass all three levels of the CFA Program in the 2004 contingent and one of just 68 CFA charterholders in New Zealand.

The CFA designation is acknowledged as a leading global qualification for the investment industry and is recognised as the definitive standard for measuring competence and integrity in the fields of portfolio management and investment analysis.

In order to earn the right to use the CFA designation, a candidate must pass three levels of rigorous, self-study examinations and have three years work experience in the investment industry.
