Guardian's Douglas has new role

James Douglas has been appointed chairman of Trustee Corporations Association of New Zealand (TCA) replacing former Perpetual Trust chief executive Stephen Eaton.

Douglas is managing director of New Zealand Guardian Trust.

Prior to that his most recent role with Guardian Trust was chief manager, personal client services. Before joining the company Douglas held a variety of senior roles in finance, sales and strategic planning within companies in the manufacturing and retail sectors.

TCA recognise the need for a rigorous independent trustee role in both the corporate securities market and personal trust work to ensure that there is robust investor protection.
