New president for surgical hospital association

Southern Cross Hospitals chief executive, Terry Moore, has been appointed president of the New Zealand Private Surgical Hospitals Association.

The association represents 28 private surgical hospitals in New Zealand to provide a framework which supports clinical and business best practice and excellence.

Moore has been with Southern Cross for eight years, including positions as chief financial officer and chief operating officer. He was appointed CEO in January this year.

He previously has had a variety of influential financial and commercial roles within the health sector over the past 10 years.
