Asteron appoints new MD

Asteron has announced who is replacing Sean Carroll as its managing director.

David Carter will be joining Asteron New Zealand as the new managing director from next week.

Carter is currently a senior executive at Suncorp Life in Australia and has significant experience on both the adviser and supplier sides of life insurance.  He’s currently the head of direct distribution at Suncorp Life  in Australia. Prior to this, he ran Suncorp Life’s aligned life insurance dealer groups. 

He has more than 20 years experience in financial services with roles spanning wealth management, financial advice, corporate banking, credit and finance. 

Carter’s appointment to Asteron comes at a time when the company is looking to grow and build on its current momentum. He replaces Sean Carroll who returned to Australia late last year,

Carter currently lives in Brisbane and is relocating to Auckland with his wife and children this weekend.
