The Sydney office will focus on investment research. Three Milford team members will be based there.
Marc Whittaker has moved to Sydney and will be joined by William Curtayne and Victoria Harris.
Managing director Anthony Quirk said: “This is an exciting milestone for Milford. Having an investment team on the ground in Australia will provide greater access to companies and better position the investment team to take advantage of opportunities as they find them.”
Milford has more than $2.7 billion under management and $580 million in Australian equities.
