PIE Funds has decided to re-open its European fund. Chief executive Mike Taylor says: "After reassessing the scale of the opportunity available to us across both the UK and continental Europe, we believe the Fund has a larger capacity than initially anticipated."
He says "we will be re-opening the fund to investors...and taking in an additional $100 million."
The Growth UK and Europe Fund launched in November 2016 and has returned 15.6% in its first six months (net of fees and before all tax).
"We believe that the Growth UK & Europe Fund provides New Zealand investors with a unique opportunity to access a concentrated portfolio of hand-picked small-cap growth companies in that region of the world."
