The Gareth Morgan Investments (GMI) name has been retired and replaced by Kiwi Wealth.

Under the change the GMI Private Portfolio Service will now be known as the Kiwi Wealth Private Portfolio Service and the GMI Superannuation Scheme will be known as the Kiwi Wealth Super Scheme.

The Kiwi Wealth KiwiSaver Scheme remains unchanged.

Gareth Morgan co-founded GMI with fellow economist Andrew Gawith in 2000. GMI was sold to Kiwibank-owned Kiwi Wealth Management in March 2012.

Kiwi Wealth is a sister company to Kiwibank, The New Zealand Home Loan Company Limited, Kiwi Insurance Limited, Kiwi Financial Services Retail Ltd and Kiwi Capital Funding Limited.
