Overcrowding fears for Remuera

A former planning councillor fears Remuera will be "devastated" by zoning changes.

Kenneth Graham says wealthy communities are starting to feel the effects of the Auckland City Council's push to squeeze people into small spaces.

The Remuera resident has serious concerns about a zone change allowing 150 dwellings on a one-hectare site.

"The council is going too far. It is too intense, it will devastate communities like Remuera," Mr Graham says.
