Heather Jensen, 86, was evacuated from her Manson St house three weeks ago after 40 metres of her front lawn slipped 150m into the Ongarue River below.
The slips have been caused by an underground tomo, or sinkhole.
Only six metres now remain between the front of her house and the slip face. Mrs Jensen is living with her daughter and will move into a council-owned flat soon.
