All have lodged formal complaints and will have their properties revalued at the Waitakere City Council's cost.

"If a ratepayer is still unhappy with the result after the objection process is completed they can lodge the matter with the Land Valuation Tribunal," council public affairs manager Dai Bindoff says.

"But any of their costs associated with this process must be met by them."

Ratepayers had until December 2 to lodge their objections.

The valuations are done every three years by Quotable Value and help the council set its annual rates.

A number of west Auckland property owners have raised their concerns with the Western Leader over their latest land valuations and fear the large rates increases could follow.
