A Bremner Bay, Wanaka, property with spectacular views was sold during the weekend for almost $1 million, after it was passed in at auction.

The two-bedroom Aubrey Rd property known as "The Crib" , was built in the 1960s. Only the road separates it from the beach and Lake Wanaka.
With its unrivalled panoramic lake and mountain views it created considerable interest before it went under the hammer on Saturday.
About 500 people attended the auction.
Locations of Wanaka spokesman Ross Rainsford said there were six active bidders, including four bidding by telephone, one of whom was from the United States.
Bidding opened at $700,000 and rose steadily to $920,000 when it was passed in and negotiations took place.
