A high-rise hotel and apartment complex proposed for Kerikeri's central business district will not be able to proceed without public consultation.

Kerikeri Serviced Apartments Ltd has applied for a land use consent to build a nine-level hotel/apartment tower near the corner of Butler and Kerikeri Roads.
But the Far North District Council has decided that the public should be able to make submissions on the proposal before it goes to a hearing.
