The event was planned for March 4-6, but now will no longer be going ahead.

"Despite really good interest from delegates, sponsors and speakers, the cost of living issues in combination with the international travel requirement – for Australians to travel to New Zealand - have proven to be significant obstacles for the event," FSC says on its website.

"Whilst we are disappointed, the content, purpose and focus of the event remain relevant and we will look at other ways to bring these to life and options for the programme."

FSC24's programme was "designed to showcase our two sectors and connect the best speakers and topics so we could learn, share and connect," the organisation says.

Is this PR release code for "we didn't have enough pre-registrations?'
Ans if either the time involved in the 3-4 hr trip from Eastern seaboard Australia to NZ and/or the cost of such travel was an obstacle, are the product manufacturers having difficult financial times? And if that is the case, should we ordinary mortals be worried?

Hopefully this resolves the March conference 'clash' between FSC and FANZ.

In other words, no one was interested in hearing insurance sales people drone on for a day! Who knew.

@Mr Mojo, clearly you did no see the agenda and I would love to go back to that type of convention. Listening again to effective business people who operate highly successful practices, sure beats paying to hear public servants and economic commentators wobble on and struggling to be relevant. Successful business owners who assist people with sound insurance advice, I would pay to hear. What do you do Mr Mojo?
