How safe is shopping on Good Returns?

We've made sure we have the highest online security in place - shopping on Good Returns is safer than giving your credit card number over the phone and at least as safe as using your credit card in a shop or restaurant. Your credit card details will be processed using technology called SSL. This means that all of the information that you have entered during the checkout process and credit card payment process are encrypted (scrambled) to keep your information private. If your credit card details are accepted and the book is in stock, your order will then be processed, otherwise we will be in touch with you.

I do not have a Visa, MasterCard or American Express Card. Can I still buy from the Good Returns shop?

We do accept payments by cheque (see below for instructions on how to do this). We will dispatch your order as soon as the cheque is cleared.

How do I order by mail, phone or fax?

Phone ordering - simply give us a call tollfree, within New Zealand, on 0800 345675 or +64 7 345 6869. You can contact one of our sales team from 9.00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. After these hours, please leave us a message and we will phone you the next business day to take your order and answer any questions.

Fax ordering - complete your order online and select the cheque option, print out and fax the order form with your cheque or credit card details to Good Returns Bookstore. The fax order form allows you to enter your credit cards details by hand on the printed form. We will process your credit card transaction manually. You must sign the order form or we will not process your order.

Mail ordering - complete your order online and select the cheque option and post the order form with your cheque to Good Returns Bookstore (PO Box 2011, Rotorua, New Zealand). We reserve the right to clear cheques before filling orders - however we will advise you if an order is delayed due to cheque clearance.

What do you charge for shipping and postage?

There is a cost of $4.75 for courier delivery in New Zealand. We aim to process and deliver your order within three working days. If you have supplied us with your email address, you will receive a confirmation receipt advising that your order has been received by us and actioned. If we expect any delays, we will email you.

Your order will be delivered by a courier who will leave your order in the letter box or at the front door (no signature is required). If you are away from the delivery address during the day - we recommend that you enter your workplace details or another address in the delivery address.

If you have any concerns about your delivery please email us on shop@goodreturns.co.nz advising all of the details (including your order number) and we will respond to your query as quickly as possible.

Overseas orders (outside of New Zealand)

To ensure you receive your order as soon as possible all international shipping services (postage, packaging and handling) are by Airmail. The shipping charge is based on the number of books you have ordered and the destination.

International orders are charged in New Zealand dollars and will be converted at the exchange rate prevailing at the time the payment is processed by your bank.

Import duties and taxes vary depending on the country and are your responsibility. Please check with your local Customs Authorities for any import duties that may apply.

Some goods may not be available for purchase from some countries, if this is the case we will contact you.

Shipping status on current orders

If you have placed an order and it has not arrived please check the current status in your order history in your account. Delays can occur with international delivery and if an item is out of stock. Please contact us if you are concerned about delays in delivery.

How do I create an account or log in?

Prior to completing your order, you will need to logon or register by clicking on the My Account/Create Account link at the top of page.

If you haven't been here before, you will need to register your details. This enables you to track your order status and eliminates the hassle of having to re-enter all your address details on subsequent visits to the bookstore.

If you have used this site before, you can enter your logon name (usually your e-mail address) and password. If you have forgotten your password, click on the forgotten password link and it will be emailed to you instantly.

How do I browse or search for products?

For your convenience we have divided the titles into basic categories, like Finance, Property and Sharemarket. When you click on each category a sub-category is display – click on this to display a list of products within the sub-category. The easiest way though to find a particular product on the Good Returns Bookstore is to use the search function.

Use the search at the top of each page by entering keywords or authors. E.g "sharemarket trading". When searching you do not need to use the "and" for more than one word. The search results will be listed by relevance to your query - e.g. products with both the words "sharemarket" and "trading" in any of their name or description will be listed first. Then any items with either sharemarket or trading will be listed. Click on a product name and you will proceed to a detailed product page.

How do I add items to my shopping cart?

Remember to create an account or login first. Then when you find a book that you would like to buy - click on the add to shopping cart button. Your selection will be added to your personal shopping cart.

Your abbreviated shopping cart lists the items you currently have added - you can remove these or update the quantity by clicking view all contents. If you return to our site at a later date, these items will be kept there. When you log out your cart will appear empty. You will need to log in to view your cart and edit your account details. If you close your browser or shut down your computer you are automatically logged out for your security.

How do I view my shopping cart?

Each time you make a product selection to add to shopping cart - your personal shopping cart will be displayed for you to view.

You can remove anything from your shopping cart by clicking on the remove option to the left of the product description and updating your order.

The quantity of any product can be changed, simply by deleting and overwriting the quantity shown.

You need to click on the update option to confirm any changes that you have made.

Click on the Continue shopping button at the bottom of the Shopping Cart to continue shopping. You can still click on the View shopping cart option (at the very top right hand side of any screen) to return to your shopping bag at any time.

How do I go to the checkout and pay?

After having logged in and placing items in your shopping cart, you can checkout by pressing the button labeled "Checkout" from the shopping cart page.

This will lead you to a screen that shows you what shipping address(es) will be used, type of payment, and related information to enable us to process your order. You may also cancel your order on this screen.

How do I set up my address book?

After logging on, you can optionally set up multiple shipping addresses. This can make it easy for you to buy gifts for several people at once or to purchase some items for work and others for at home and have everything shipped to the location where you want it.

To do this, click the "Address Book" link, located at the top of the page. You can add new addresses by clicking on the Add button and following the directions. To update or delete existing addresses, just select the address from the list and click on the button that describes what you want to do.
