InvestmentLink believes it has turned the corner in its development with the signing of its first non-shareholding fund manager.
Tower Trust Services signed up to the information providing service late last year, and will begin downloading data into the system once it has its new computer system up and running.
InvestmentLink marketing manager Stuart Christie says signing Tower Trust is significant as, besides being the first non-shareholding manager to join up, it means InvestmentLink now covers the bulk of the unit trust industry.

Christie is optimistic many of the small, niche fund managers will join InvestmentLink in the near future.
He says the Tower Trust signing sends a strong signal to the market, and it helps reinforce the message that InvestmentLink supports the retail unit trust model within the financial services industry.
On the user side Christie reports about a dozen advisory firms signed up to the service in the month before Christmas.
"Some which were sitting on the fence have joined. It is encouraging to see they have made the decision," he says.
