In two unrelated moves Prudential Portfolio Managers has lost its chief investment officer and the group has decided to restructure the company.
Prudential says Greg Whitten has decided to leave PPM, based in Sydney, and return to New Zealand for personal reasons.
Whitten moved from Wellington to Sydney in 1997 when the company merged its New Zealand investment operation with its Australian one.
In the restructuring PPM is being split into three separate investment teams, concentrating on equities, fixed interest and property.

Warwick Johnson has been appointed director of equities and Dave Fishwick is the new director of fixed interest.
The pair will become directors of PPM and members of the PPM executive team.
Johnson is a new appointment coming to PPM from HSBC Asset Management in Toyko where he was head of investments and director for the Asia Pacific region.
PPM plan to further strengthen its investment team in the next few months.
