Managing director of Sydney based New Cap Reinsurance Corporation Azmin Daya has been appointed to the board of Sovereign.
Daya has previously held the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer at the Great Lakes Reinsurance Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of Munich Reinsurance Company.
Also Mike Newton has been appointed director of life insurance subsidiary Sovereign Assurance. He is also a director of investment related subsidiaries Sovereign Asset Management, Sovereign Funds Management, and Aegis Ltd.
Previously he was general manager of Sovereign Funds Management.
