Colonial First State Investment Managers (NZ) Limited has appointed Mike Gibbs-Harris as Chief Investment Officer.
Gibbs-Harris heads the New Zealand investment team which manages nearly $3 billion of clients’ funds. His primary responsibilities are to ensure that Colonial First State’s “truly active” investment style delivers above average investment performance for its clients.
He replaces Tim Mitchell who has left Colonial First State to establish his own business.
Mike Gibbs-Harris has 20 years’ international experience in investment management. Prior to joining Colonial First State he headed an investment management team in Hong Kong responsible for more than $6 billion of global accounts. He has also held investment management positions in London, San Francisco and Sydney.
