New Zealand's first Online Financial Services Conference will be held in Wellington from July 24-25.

The conference, organised by IIR, will provide delegates with the very best information on the hottest topics in the area of financial services in New Zealand.

"This is undoubtedly the most timely and pertinent event for decision makers in the financial service's institutions to be held this year," conference organiser David Brem says.

Tower has been granted resident representative office status in China.

Group managing director James Boonzaier says Tower China still has to get its licence application approved before it can set up business in China.

In the meantime Tower was looking for a suitable joint venture partner and good investment opportunities in China.
