ASB Bank's group managing director Ralph Norris is now responsible for Commonwealth Bank of Australia's International Financial Services operations.
This means he will be responsible for Colonial Group's businesses in New Zealand, Asia and the United Kingdom.
Norris was picked for the role because of his track record at ASB Bank, which included the integration of Sovereign into the bank's business.
He will continue his role as chief executive and managing director of ASB Bk.
