Global Asset Management's (GAM) founder and chairman Gilbert de Botton has died.
GAM, which is a specialist and highly regarded international fund manager, was sold to giant Swiss firm UBS last September.
While GAM has been a success, de Botton's personal impact on the wider investment industry has also been great.
GAM funds are available in New Zealand through Tower Managed Funds.
