Forget autumn: ANZ, for one, still thinks it's hot and has extended its "Summer Breeze" home loan deal until the end of April.

It's the second extension for the bank's promotion, which offers home loan assessments in 45 minutes. Summer Breeze was launched in mid February and, while originally due to wind up in mid March, was then extended to March 30. In announcing the latest extension, ANZ says that the promotion has proved to be "a huge success in terms of delighting customers with a very quick turnaround of their applications".

Borrowers who had home loans approved before March 30 were given a $25 CD voucher, but this part of the offer is not being extended.

Meanwhile, ASB Bank's Summer Home Loan Challenge is still on a roll. This promotion kicked off in mid January and offers home loan approvals within 60 minutes, provided borrowers supply all information needed at the time of applying.
