KPMG Legal recently announced the appointment of eight new partners, the
first such appointments since KPMG Legal merged with Kensington Swan in July
last year.
Two of these partners - Sean Garelli and Michael Roberton
practice in the Financial Services Team at KPMG Legal.
Garelli's principal area of practice is the law affecting the financial
services industry. He is experienced in advising on matters connected with
insurance, managed funds and investment products, including retail and
employer-sponsored superannuation. Garelli also retains a particular interest
in the law of trusts and assists with the large volume of personal asset
planning work undertaken by the firm.
Roberton has extensive experience in the financial services industry having
advised banks, finance companies and other corporate entities in this area.
His work includes project and transactional financing, loan and credit
facilities, consumer credit, corporate restructuring, liquidations and debt
and equity capital raising.
He complements that with his knowledge of
Corporate and Securities Law.
