FAB buys a firm and gets a new director

Tuesday, June 8th 2004, 6:11AM
Financial Application Builders Software (FAB) has bought a firm called Nozicle, and appointed that firm's managing director, Dr Jonathan Robinson, to the FAB board.

Nozicle develops and markets technologies for delivery of rich graphical user interface applications that can be deployed securely over LAN, WAN or the Internet from a standard web server.

FAB will be focussing on development of Internet, WAN and LAN based CRM tools with specialist functions for industry sectors. The initial focus will be on the financial services and recruitment industries.

"The merger will create a more dynamic business with the technology and expertise to create software products to increase local market share and develop export opportunities," FAB director Brendan Canton says.

"This technology shift also allows for a change of service provision to financial advisers. The adviser can have data entry people in one town, para-planner in a second, telemarketing team in a third, and an insurance expert in yet another place. They can all work together with the data being based in the advisers office or at a third party.
