A former ANZ man has been appointed as the new managing director for AMP Financial Services in New Zealand.

Greg Camm is to take over the role previously filled by Ross Kent, who has shifted to Alliance Capital.

Camm joins AMP from ANZ Banking Group where he held a variety of senior leadership positions on both sides of the Tasman over the past 15 years.

His most recent role was managing director, personal wealth and distribution. Prior to that, he was managing director of ANZ Banking Group New Zealand.

Camm will be based in Auckland and take up his role in mid-February.

AMP Financial Services managing director, Craig Dunn said this appointment marks AMP Financial Services’ ongoing commitment to improving the performance of its New Zealand operations.

“Not only does Greg bring significant leadership experience in the financial services industry, he also has well established credentials in driving and delivering growth in the New Zealand market.

“His mandate will be to focus on lifting the performance of the business, in particular, working with advisers and all other parts of the business to improve our offering to customers,” Dunn said.
