BT Funds Management has created a new distribution role following its decision by to terminate its existing New Zealand dollar retail fund range to focus on distributing its retail Australian range, mezzanine and wholesale products to wraps, master trusts and New Zealand’s prominent independent advisors and major dealer groups.

Parry Morarji has been promoted to national key account manager for BT. Previously he was the Northern business development manager.

“We believe that his wealth of knowledge on BT products combined with over six years of experience in servicing advisors will allow BT to continue to develop relationships with New Zealand advisers in the years ahead," BT Funds Management chief executive Mark Smith says.

Morarji will work closely with BT's National Manager for Networks, Murray Harris and BT Australia.

Retail business development manager, Southern, Tim Butterfield, has accepted the role as associate director, investor sales with Westpac Institutional Bank.

Matthew Mimms, head of retail sales and service, has decided to move on to new opportunities outside of BT and Westpac.
