The influence of the New Zealand model on the UK “Pension Commission’s” report of November 2005
ASFONZ, Women in Super, AUT and the University of Auckland’s Public Policy Group are hosting a breakfast on Friday 3 February.
This presentation is by Alison O’Connell, a director of the Pensions Policy Institute, London. The PPI has taken a prominent role in the pension reform debate, including bringing lessons from New Zealand Superannuation to the UK.
A Pensions Commission in the UK, chaired by Lord Turner, has just reported recommending, amongst other things, something very like ‘KiwSaver’. Come and hear an expert’s analysis on the state of pensions in the UK.
The cost of the breakfast is $30 (GST inclusive). Please email acceptances to s.stjohn@auckland.ac.nz.
