Bluestone Group has appointed Terry Zouch as general manager of its New Zealand business.

Zouch joins the Bluestone Group after a 29 year career with ASB. Over the past six years, he has held executive positions as regional manager Counties and North Harbour in addition to senior management positions in the retail network.

Zouch brings strong leadership and management skills to his new role and has extensive retail experience in the banking and financial services industry, Bluestone says.

He takes over from Peter Wood, who is moving to Australia with Bluestone to assist in developing greenfield opportunities.

"Peter has headed the New Zealand business since its inception in December 2002, building it to be a key contributor to the group including spearheading three securitisations managed by publicly listed Sapphire Securities Limited," Bluestone chief executive Alistair Jeffery says.

Bluestone is a specialist lender that employs 35 staff in New Zealand and has originated over $350 million in residential mortgages.
