Pensionreforms is “both an information broker and as a place where readers find insightful critiques on major issues and reviews of influential papers,” Littlewood says.
The new web site is international in that it will cover pension issues from countries around the world.
Littlewood suggests that although different countries approach the retirement income issues in different ways, all countries can learn from the experience of others. “New Zealand can learn from Chile; and Chile from New Zealand,” he said.
PensionReforms provides links to original articles covering research on pension issues (both public and private provision), taxation, compulsory saving regimes, funding, pre-funding and pay-as-you-go controversies, employment patterns of older workers and decumulation issues.
"PensionReforms chooses the articles for their insights and relevance and offers its own brief abstract and commentary." The RP&RC was established in the University of Auckland’s Business School in May.
