Brighouse joins Brook

Friday, June 15th 2007, 2:42PM
Brook Asset Management's newly appointed managing director is Mark Brighouse from Arcus Investment.

Brighouse will be responsible for setting strategy and the operational side of the business. Up until now executive chairman Simon Botherway had performed many of the managing director duties.

At Arcus, an investment arm of AXA, Brighouse had responsibility for more than $5 billion of New Zealand client funds. His specialty area is in asset allocation.

The appointment leaves Botherway, Paul Glass and the other senior staff members to focus on the investment side of the business.

Brook is expanding its business with the introduction of KiwiSaver and the Portfolio Investment Entity tax changes, plus it is setting up operations in Australia.
