The AGRI Private Capital Fund (AGRI Fund) has announced that Stuart Nattrass has been appointed chief executive officer of the Manager of the Fund.

Nattrass is a director of a number of agriculture related entities including Fonterra, New Zealand Wool Services, Wool Industry Network and the Deer Industry of New Zealand.

Nattrass says AGRI Fund is well placed to take advantage of the recent significant increase in global food prices.

"Global demand for food will become increasingly relevant in the next decade because supply and demand factors are driving prices to record levels.

Nattrass has had an international financial market background, principally in foreign exchange risk management for more than 16 years, and held positions with the National Bank of New Zealand, and Westpac as Global Head of Foreign Exchange Risk in Sydney from 1997 to 2001.
