Armstrong leaves Salvus board

Roger Armstrong has resigned from the board of listed investment trust Salvus "to pursue other interests that could present a conflict with the continuation of his role at Salvus."

The company has appointed Trevor Janes and Jason Hollingworth as independent directors. They join Andrew Couch and chairman Barrie Downey on the board. Janes is an investment banker and financial analyst. He is currently the deputy chairman of Abano Healthcare, a director of ProCare Health Limited and Mighty River Power. He also sits on the investment committee of the Accident Compensation Corporation and is chairman of Trinity Hill.

Hollingworth is the chief financial officer and company secretary of Sky Network Television. He previously held the position of Investment Manager with Ngai Tahu Holdings Corporation. Prior to that, he was an executive director of Brierley Investments subsidiary, AsiaPower Developments
