Vidler to take up role with Fidelity

Tony Vidler is finishing up as managing director of Moneta Financial Group at the end of November and taking up a role with Fidelity Life as a business development manager.

"After 10 years it is simply time for a change and a bit of personal re-vitalisation," he says.

"Moneta will carry on, it continues as a managing agency owning all the clients, with four good advisers doing what advisers do best - but basically managing themselves as they are more than capable of doing as vastly experienced practitioners."

Vidler will continue to be a shareholder and director in the company, but it is expected that a full equity exit will be arranged to suit all parties as soon as practicable. Vidler says his move to a BDM role "may suprise some people", but it is "a role I am really looking forward to getting into."

Vidler says he expects to continue to be a board member of the Institute of Financial Advisers, and to continue as one of the institute's members on the G4 working party on future industry advisory structures and approved professional bodies.
