Arcus Investment Management has appointed Michael Brivulis to the role of Head of Institutional Sales and Relationships.

Brivulis recently joined Arcus from Sydney-based ipac securities. Ipac is also a member of the AXA group and a pioneer of multi-manager investing in Australia. Brivulis was responsible for providing an implemented consulting service to corporate clients, charitable trusts and superannuation scheme trustees.

Prior to his five years at ipac, he held roles at Lloyds TSB (London) and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (Melbourne).

Arcus chief investment officer Peter Verhaart, says the appointment positions the firm "to develop our already strong New Zealand presence as well as foster our relationship with ipac."

Brivulis's primary responsibility will be managing Arcus' relationships with both institutional clients and the asset consulting community.
