Lots of big changes at AIG

AIG Life has undertaken an internal reorganisation to position the company for further growth.

The company has appointed Michael Hewes as Chief Business Development Officer, with responsibility for the coordination of marketing, actuarial and sales activities, management of new business development, and strategic development of new market entry initiatives.

Mike Loftus has been appointed Head of Marketing, with responsibility for marketing strategy development, marketing coordination, brand management, loyalty initiatives development, sponsorship management and advertising management.

Vivienne Murupaenga is now Manager of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, with responsibility for PR and collateral management.

In further promotions, Nadine Tereora is now Chief Operations Officer, Morris Love is Head of Operations, Donnamarie Edwards has been appointed Head of Group & Employee Benefits, and Siva Thambiran is now Head of Product Development and Actuarial.

"These changes unify our 'front office' activities of marketing, product development and sales, and unify our 'back office' activities of operations, service, risk, systems and support," Chief Executive David Pierce said.
