New head strategist at AMP

AMP Capital Investors has taken on board Jason Wong as its head of investment strategy.

Wong will have accountability for managing the asset allocation of AMP’s diversified funds, and for the delivery of superior performance from the diversified and multi-manager funds to the New Zealand market.

Wong will work closely with the fixed interest and equities teams. He has extensive working knowledge of asset allocation, macro-economics, global and domestic markets.

His previous roles include working for the Reserve Bank and First NZ Capital as an economist/strategist.

“Wong’s experience, capability and demonstrated track record gained over 16 years adds further depth to an already well-resourced and experienced team,” says Murray Gibbens, managing director of AMP.
