Nelson Building Society has today increased its one and two year fixed rates. The one year is up four points to 5.99%, while the two-year rate is up 20 points to 6.95%.
In our Experts' Views section BNZ chief economist Tony Alexander is suggesting we are entering a benign period for interest rates and the next decent shift will be in July next year when the tightening cycle starts.
