Perpetual appoints head of advice

Perpetual Portfolio Management has appointed Aaron Hing as its head of advice.

Tuesday, March 23rd 2010, 5:38AM

The appointment is part of Perpetual's strategy to develop a wider adviser distribution network for a revised client portfolio service that is currently under construction.

Hing previously had a similar role with Spicers and more recently had been concentrating on marketing strategy and service development.

He says the development of an advice led business focused on achieving client objectives, all within a New Zealand owned organisation with a NZX listed parent offering a wide range of financial services, presents a sound platform for growth and success.

He has been a regular media commentator over the last decade and is well known throughout New Zealand's legal and accountancy professions.

Hing originally joined Spicers in 1992 and moving to the Perpetual group reunites him with previous Spicers Management.

Spicers chief executive Patrick Middleton, joined Perpetual earlier this year from Westpac, and the architect of Spicers George Kerr who oversaw its sale to AXA in 2002.

Kerr is a major shareholder of Perpetual's parent company PGC.
