Public Trust has shaved 10 basis points off its two and three-year rates and dropped its five-year rate by 5 points this week. Public Trust are offering the lowest fixed rates for a non-bank lender.
The Australian Greens Party has proposed that laws should be made restricting the ability of banks to raise their rates in excess of Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) rate rises.
