Jenny Campbell has been appointed in the new role of general manager for the Association to provide additional support in the day-to-day operation of the industry Association.

Pratley says NZMBA has been looking for an appropriate person to fill the new role of general manager and is very confident with the appointment of Jenny to the general manager's role. Jenny has considerable experience in the mortgage broking industry having been a mortgage broker herself and more lately working for NZF in a Business Development role. This has given her considerable contact with many NZMBA members and we know with her skills and ability, it will add to the value proposition NZMBA provides.

"This new general manager role is set to replace the day-to-day operation of the current CEO role which Pratley has held for two years. The role that Mr Pratley was responsible for in assisting the realignment of the industry Association has come to an end and now my focus will be on regulation and the Chairman's role".

NZMBA also has announced the co-opting appointment of an eighth board member.

Sonya Reid from Sonya Reid Mortgages and Insurances has been co-opted on to the board to fill a vacancy that was unfilled since the association's annual general meeting in 2010.

The board has been looking to add another person to the board and Sonya has made herself available to take up this role.

Sonya is a practising broker and brings a unique set of skills and strong industry experience which is invaluable as implementation

of regulation continues. Sonya has strong practical broking experience and is able to give the board an "on the ground" representation in Wellington.
