The only change in rates today is over at the Napier Buidling Society. It has lowered its floating and one year rates to 5.80% and 6.00% respectively. What is most interesting is that TSB's one-year special rate of 5.50% is now a market leader, 25 basis points less than its closest competitor. You can see how it compares here where we have sorted the rates table from lowest to highest on the one-year term.
Most of the attention is on house prices with QV putting out its numbers for April yesterday. We have a report here, and also publish QV's commentary on what is happening in each of the main areas here.
