Heightened global uncertainty looks set to prompt the Reserve Bank to keep interest rates on hold this Thursday, a decision HSBC economist Paul Bloxham said would be made easier by lower-than-expected inflation in the third quarter. However, the bank still anticipates a rate rise before year end.
