BNZ have surprised with an underwhelming response to across-the-card rate cuts. Instead of following suit it has introduced a "Classic" 30-month rate of 6.10%. How does this compare? Well the lowest two year rate is 5.88% with a cluster around the 6.00% and the best three year rate is 6.00% with a group around the 6.45% mark.

BNZs Australian parent, NAB, is under pressure from a funding and NIM aspect. I don't think BNZ will set a new low here in NZ.
