Early appointments at AMP/AXA

The company has been working towards bringing the AMP and AXA businesses together to create a competitive new force in financial services in New Zealand that has quality financial advice and service at its heart.

Our current proposal for integrating distribution and marketing functions is that AXA, AMP and Roost brands unify within one distribution management structure, which it is referring to internally as Intermediated Distribution.

"Adviser feedback highlighted expectations of a single point of contact with our business rather than AXA and AMP field staff in parallel.  Supporting the intermediated advice channel will be the services provided by the Quality Advice Network."

Nick Scarlett will lead the Intermediated Distribution Channel and QAN Services.

The company is proposing to establish Direct and Workplace teams to specifically service and manage clients who are not managed by advisers.  It is referring to this channel internally as Proprietary Distribution.  We also propose to fully integrate AMP, AXA and Spicers marketing functions into a Centre of Excellence.

Blair Vernon will lead the Proprietary Distribution Channel and Marketing Services.

Great - AMP's Nick Scarlett's is responsible for all Intermediaries. I assume he is in charge of loving all of us, including non-AMP intermediaries.

I'm sure he will, just as he 'loved' all at AIA (for about 5 minutes)

if he can apply that same 'earn the right to the business'style to all of us, like they did at AXA with their advisers then all the better for AMP cos they are going to need it.
