Changes at the top for Cigna Life

Cigna Life Insurance has appointed three new directors, including a new chairmain to its board.

Steven Fyfe will take over the role of chairmain, while Graeme Mitchell and Norah Barlow have been appointed as independent directors.

Steven Fyfe also chairs The Co-operative Bank, and is a director of Crown Asset Management. He is a Trustee of the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation.

Mitchell is deputy chair of the External Reporting Board which is responsible for the development of New Zealand's accounting and auditing and assurance standards, as well as a director of Barnardos

Barlow is managing director and chief executive of the Summerset Group, and has been president of the Retirement Villages Association of New Zealand since 2006.

They will join existing directors Gail Costa, Bruce Phillips and Hong Kong-based Jason Sadler, as the board expands from four to six members.
