The directors of failed finance firm Lombard have had their appeals against their convictions quashed.

The Court of Appeal rejected the appeals of Sir Douglas Graham, Michael Reeves, Lawrence Bryant and William Jeffries.

A decision will be made when the court has received reports on the suitability of home detention.

They were found guilty of making untrue statements in a prospectus. Lombard was placed in receivership in 2008, owing $111 million to 3600 investors.

They had their appeals dismissed, not quashed. "Quashing" is what happens to a conviction when an appeal is allowed.
