We have more significant increases to fixed home loans. ASB and Bank Direct have removed their specials and increased theif fixed rates. The biggest increase being a 34 point jump in the two-year rate.
The Co-operative Bank has also increased rates.
This practice of increasing rates appears to be a pricing move to decrease demand during the holiday period when many bank staff are away.
