ANZ Wealth says it will be registering a series of exchange-traded funds in New Zealand
Last week ANZ in Australia announced it is launching six products via a new entity, ANZ ETFS Management which is a joint venture with UK-based firm ETF Securities.
ANZ Wealth managing director John Body says the funds will be registered in New Zealand and the company will be "keeping its options open" with regards to how and if they are promoted in the market.
He says if there is demand then the company will be more active in promoting the funds.
Body says ANZ uses ETFs and they are a good solution in portfolio construction, particularly with the benefit of getting low cost exposure to various markets.
