Harmoney to launch insurance product

Peer-to-peer lender Harmoney is set to launch consumer credit insurance.

It is a type of cover that pays out when something affects borrowers' ability to meet their repayments.

So far, none of the three peer-to-peer lenders operating in the New Zealand market offer such a product.

It is believed that Harmoney is planning to launch it next week.
