Simon Fisher

He has been with the company since 2011 but is stepping down to take a senior role with a brokerage.

Managing director Naomi Ballantyne, in announcing Fisher’s departure, wrote that he had made the decision that in the best interests of his health and his family, he needed to step away from the executive career path and the pressures that would come with Partners Life’s plans for the future.

“As a founding employee of Partners Life, Simon has been part of our story since day one, and on behalf of the entire Partners Life family, I would like to thank Simon for his huge effort and amazing work ethic, for his steadfast loyalty, and most importantly for his wonderful company – he is universally loved by everyone who knows him,” she said. “While we are very glad that Simon will continue to be part of the Partners Life family as a key distributor, we are seriously going to miss him on a day-to-day basis.”

He is to leave immediately because of the potential conflict of interest with other advisers.

Sorry to see you go Simon. You will leave a big hole but family and health are more important.

Yes I'm sorry to see them leave too, but life goes on and their leaving in no way impacts my advice or the products my clients get. They did do a great job getting me to see the great value Partners Life products bring to my clients, though and for that I am grateful. Good luck to them both.

Great company, but always look towards the timing of these high level departures... Recent equity buy in, and now we have senior posts being vacated...

Smitty, I've been lucky enough to meet Simon on a number of occasions and in a small training course I attended roughly 18 months ago he shared a small insight into his personal situation. From this I believe I can assure you there is nothing extra to be read into his departure. A damn nice guy who will leave a huge gap!
